In celebration of 2021’s National Puerto Rican Day, Nike will be taking their Air Max 97 and will be applying a Puerto Rico theme to the classic silhouette. Officially releasing in Metallic Silver and Varsity Red, no leaked images have surfaced for the 2021 release, but we expect a full Metallic Silver mesh and leather upper that is highlighted with Varsity Red wave-like overlays, Nike Swoosh branding on the side paneling and tongue along with the expected Puerto Rico flag on the ankles. A white midsole, silver Air Max unit, and a black rubber outsole finishes off the future makeover. With the special makeover on the classic sneaker, expect many to be out to get a pair. Taking somewhat of a back seat to its upcoming collaborations and low-cut counterparts for Summer, the has been enjoying a mini-hiatus - that is, until this colorful new concoction appeared earlier today. The bright, white-based release is clearly curated for Summer, with vibrant accentuations of royal, gold, pink, and orange all featuring on the release. Here, it’s a classic white leather build that hosts the pops of pigment, with Swooshes of bold blue and laces of University Gold the first to capture ones attention As you look closer, though, you’ll find hot pink pops at the tongue, heel, and forefoot contrast stitching. Shortly after introducing its progressive Waffle Racer Crater model, Nike is now readying a classic sporty take on the sustainability focussed sneaker. Made with at least 20 percent recycled material, the shoe is defined by multiple displays of exposed stitching and a multicolor speckled sole unit. Coming in “Smoke Grey/Gym Red, ” the upper of the shoe is a light grey textile upper accented by canvas and suede overlays. The large red Swooshes on the side are framed by contrasting black stitching, while red stitching appears on the white lacing frames. Other branding elements come in the form of tongue tags, printed insoles and “NIKE” printed at the heels After a first look at the upcoming sneaker emerged earlier this year, BLACK COMME des GARÇONS and Nike have now revealed official imagery of the collaborative Waffle Racer. Unsurprisingly, the sneaker comes decked out in an understated all-black color palette, which hides a number of hidden details. Arguably the stand-out feature is the large Swoosh, which has come constructed from denim and comes ridged with a frayed finish. The Swooshes contrast the rest of the clean upper, which comes constructed from suede and also features a leather heel tab and nylon tongue. Finishing off the sneaker is white CdG branding on the heel and insole, as well as the iconic waffle rubber outsole which gives the silhouette its name.
